The WBS Wizard enables the user to select the required WBS level for the item to be entered, and automatically maintains the consistency of the tree structure.
Use the WBS Wizard to integrate existing Standard Costs data and cost estimates from the Item database, reference quotes or other DeviProp projects.
The input of different types of cost attributes (for example currencies, cost centres codes, travel expense codes, etc.) is facilitated by selecting the relevant options from pre-defined menus.
This reference data is managed centrally by an administrator, leaving the user to focus on accurate and consistent data entry for each project.
Entering data at detailed levels of the Costs WBS is faster and more reliable due to the automatic inheritance of attributes (for example currency or cost centre codes) from the higher level, unless otherwise specified by the user.
In addition to being able to directly enter a numeric/text value for a cost item, other more sophisticated methods are available:
Each cost element such as “Miscellaneous Allowances”, “Guarantees”, “Risks” or “Contingencies” has a dedicated column to enable the entry of absolute or percentage values.
DeviProp provides everything to rapidly derive an appropriate GANTT chart for the project, providing the basis for further refinement to calculate the effects over time of inflation/deflation on costs and prices, and determine cash flow forecasts and payment schedules.
Producing a complete project schedule is easily achieved by modifying timescales at the highest levels of the WBS, avoiding the need to plan at more detailed levels.
